WASTE FARMS

AFFECTING COUNTY RATES PROPOSAL FOR CONFERENCE (From Our Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, To-day. The Waitotara County Council has issued invitations to all county councils from the King Country to New Plymouth to send delegates to a conference in Wanganui on May 18 to discuss the problem of waste farms, as affecting county rates. The counties are evidently keenly interested in the problem, as many of them have large sums outstanding in rates through farms going back and owners walking off. All have replied to the invitation, stating they will be represented at the conference.
