LONDON WOOL SALES By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 10.20 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. At the wool sales, 11,500 bales were offered. It was a poor selection, including many second-hand parcels from Bradford on which reserves have been fixed above the March rates. Con - sequently a fairly large quantity was withdrawn. The attendance was moderate and all-round competition prevailed. Merinos, best faulty, sold on parity with March closing; medium faulty were par to five per cent cheaper; crossbreds were firm at March rates: lower grades were five per cent, cheaper; slipes were unchanged, occasionally being in the buyer's favour. Lambs’ best was unchanged, faulty five per cent, cheaper. The New Zealand cRp, Waikameoa, brought a top price, 17d, average 16d; Longhorn was 231 d, top price 23d. —A. and N.Z.
