FRANKLIN POWER BOARD

(From Our Oven Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, To-day. The Franklin Electric Power Board met yesterday, the chairman, Mr. J. Dean, presiding. Being the annual meeting the following offices were filled: Chairman, Mr .T. Dean; finance committee, the whole board: tenders committee, th* % chairman, and Messrs. W. P. Garland, J. Patterson, J. B. McKinney, and W. L. West; building committee, the chairman and Messrs. H. P. Garland, G. T. Parvin and J. Patterson. Requests received from Kohe Kobe residents to have the reticulation of the district expedited, Mr. R. J. Reynolds and other Patumahoe settlers, for power for milking machines, and Mr. A. J. Ross and several residents of PaerataN for an extension in the existing power lines, were referred to the engineer. Air. T. R. Overton, for attention. The engineer reported that he had communicated with the Public Works Department relative to the variation in voltage of Hora Horn power, and had received a reply intimating that the matter was being investigated. The extension of the power lines in the Ararimu and the Pokeno districts was referred to Mr. J. B. McKinney and the engineer, and the chairman and engineer, respectively. In connection with a complaint made that street lamps were being deliberately broken, the board decided to bring the matter under the notice of the local police.
