Mr. and Mrs. Alan St. Clair Brown will leave Auckland later in the month on a visit to Sydney.
Mrs. Clayden and Miss B. Clayden, of Christchurch, returned to New Zealand this morning on the Mataroa after an extended trip abroad.
Miss Joan Makgill, of Auckland, returned this morning by the Mataroa from a trip abroad.
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Hildrich, of Masterton. are staying at the Commercial Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. G. Dittmer, of Pukekohe, are in Auckland and are staying at the Commercial Hotel. Among the guests staying at the Royal Hotel are Mrs. V. E. Ricket and Miss K. Ellis, of Cambridge. Mr. and M-s. S. R. Scarfe. of Gisborne, arrived in Auckland this morning, and are staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Cartwright, of London, who are making a tour of New Zealand, arrived in Auckland from the South this morning and are staying at the Star Hotel. Among the guests staying at the Grand Hotel is Mrs. Clive Mellor, of Melbourne. _ •
