AUCKLAND POWER BOARD

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS Mr. W. J. Holdsworth presided at yesterday’s meeting of the Auckland Electric Power Board. It was decided to call tenders for the erection of shops and offices at Onehunga. It was also decided to accept Mr. A. Timewell’s offer of a section in Papatoetoe at a price of £I,OOO. The question of purchasing land at Manurewa came up and it was resolved not to go any further in the matter at present. Mr. W. D. M. Glaister’s offer of a section at Papakura for £1,250 was accepted.
