“THE WALTZ DREAM”
A WONDER FILM Few picture patrons in Auckland missed “Variety,” hailed as the greatest of all when it was shown at the R.egent a short time ago, and none of those who saw it failed to voice their praises of that remarkable drama “The Waltz Dream,” which comes to that theatre on Friday next, is a direct successor to “Variety.” It was made by the same company, but is different to its predecessor in one marked degree—whereas “Variety” was intensely dramatic, “The Waltz Dream” is as light as a feather —bubbling with splendid comedy, reflecting the spirit of the Viennese waltzes, and, in particular, retaining the flavour of Richard Strauss’s famous operetta, after which the film was named. “The Waltz Dream” contains the gayest entertainment imaginable, and is sure to be as successful with Aucklanders as was “Variety.”
