Briand, has been congratulated on attaining the 25th anniversary of his entry into Parliament by the German Foreign Minister, Herr Stresemann. In reply M. Briand says that in looking back over the past quarter of a century he considers the most productive years have been the two just ended. In that period France and Germany had pursued a common end in the interests of the peace of the world.—A. and N.Z.
