CHORAL SOCIETY

HAYDN’S “CREATION” The Auckland Choral Society’s programme for the 1927 season is announced. The first presentation will be Haydn’s “Creation” on May 26, Verdi’s “Aida” will be presented on August 11, and a miscellaneous concert, including Pietro Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana.” will be rendered by augmented choirs on October 13. An appeal is being made to musiclovers in Auckland to secure further members for the society, thereby enabling it to promote and maintain a high standard of music.
