FINAL PERFORMANCE The final performance of “No. No, Nanette” is to be given to-night. The outstanding merit of the company still holds the interest of big audiences to the last act. LIBRARY CONCERTS REMUERA The Remuera Library Course will be opened on Tuesday, May 3, with a concert arranged by Mr. Frank Adeane, secretary of the Competitions Society. The programme will be largely provided of the successful competitors of last year’s competitions. The extent and variety of the programme can be gauged from the names of the artists, which include Miss Alma McGruer, Miss Ina Thompson, Miss Phyllis Mobberley, Miss Audrey Perry, Miss Isabelle Brook, Miss Gwenth McNaughtan, Mr. Arthur Reid, Mr. Culford Bell, Mr. Frank Adeane, and Mr. John Tait’s Madrigal Choir. Tickets for the course are on sale at all city libraries and Queen Street bookshops. GREY LYNN

The opening event of the Grey Lynn Library course will take place on Wednesday, May 4, with a concert arranged by Mr. Walter Impett, comprising vocal, instrumental and elocutionary items. The programme will include contributions from the following artistes: Misses Veronica Derham, Rena Wilson, Maida Davison, Nance Clark, Gladys Walding, Gladys Hosking, Ruby Moselen, Lila Foley, Rona McElwain; Messrs Edward H. Foot, Keith Ramsey, Laurie Steward. Culford Bell, and Walter Impett. Tickets for the course are on sale at the city libraries and Queen Street bookshops. GRAFTON This series of winter lectures and entertainments will commence on May 10. The course will comprise concerts arranged by the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society and by the Rev. Jasper Calder; lectures by Mrs. C. E. Maguire (“Three Years’ Experiences Abroad”) Mr. J. B. Johnston, “Round New Zealand coasts in the launch Ruamano,” a debate between teams of the Auckland University College and the W.E.A., and an evening with Charles Dickens, provided by the Dickens Club. Tickets for the course are on sale at all city libraries and Queen Street bookshops.
