SPEED AND SPRAY
POWER BOAT PROGRAMME SATURDAY’S RACES Speed-boats, cruisers and out-board motor craft of the New Zealand Power Boat Association will race on the Waitemata to-morrow afternoon, starting and finishing off King’s Wharf. Entries and handicaps for the first race, a general handicap for speedboats, starting at 2.30, are: Miss X, scr., Bonzo, 10sec.; Miss Cheltenham, 45sec.: Miss Devonport, lmin. 50sec.: Spot. lmin. 50sec.; Hobo, 2min.: Mi_.* Northcote, 7min.> and Baby • Dev., S min. The same boats will race for the Commodore’s Cup, starting at 3.50 p.m., the* handicaps being declared on the result of this event. General Handicap for Cruisers Starting at 3 p.m.—Manyana, scr.; Tarua, lmin. 50sec.; Hirondelle, 2min. 50sec.; Tasman, smin. 30sec.; My Girl, 6min. 30sec; Romance 11., 6min. 40sec; Lady Margaret, 9min.; Adelaide, 15 min. 20sec; Edwina, ISmin. 20sec; Agnes G., not yet handicapped. The length of the course for speedboats and cruisers will be 2 1-S knots, and that for outboards 1,800 yards. Cruisers will race over two laps; speed-boats, three laps; rowboat outboards, two laps; and racing outboards, three laps.
