Island Dweller is Not Officially Dead

A PECULIAR POSITION INQUEST IS HELD UP A rather peculiar position arises out of the death of Mr. C. H. Parker on Sunday Island on March 23. Not being able to view the body, as he is required to do, a coroner is not empowered to give any pronouncement. There are two courses open to his friends to have their late friend deemed officially dead —either to file affidavits in the Supreme Court, so that a judge oan give the necessary pronouncement, or seek special authority from the Minister of Justice for the inquest to be held in the ordinary way by a coroner.
