NEW ZEALANDERS ABROAD
Sir James and Lady Gunson, according to recent English news, are at present living in Kensington, London. Mrs. Clara I. Bailey of Wanganui, who has spent the last six months in Scotland, is now in London. Mr. F. N. Bartram, M.P., and Mrs. Bartram were recent guests at an afternoon party at Buckingham Palace. Mr. and Mrs. W. Beadel of Christohurch spent a few weeks in London before going to Paris for Easter and then for a tour of the Continent. Mrs. R. Wynne-Owen, of Christchurch, has spent some time with her husband’s relatives, Mr. and Mrs. H. Griffith-Owen, at Blaenau-Festiniog. Mr. George Young is an Aucklander who has gone Home to spend a few years. Mr. Young was the author of the successful play for the recent Wellington University Students’ Commemoration. The Misses Florence and Celia Murray were among the visitors during the recent season to Nice. Mr. Major and his family, of Auckland, spent several weeks at Nice during March. Mr. and Mrs. Pennethorne of Napier, motored recently to the Isle of Wight for a holiday trip. They have now taken a house at Sutton, in Surrey. Mr. L. O. H. Tripp of Wellington, is staying with his sister at Cannes. Mrs. C. G. Horne and her daughters, Dorothy and Mary, were among the visitors to Montana for the winter sports, and afterwards visited Italy and the Riviera. Among the New Zealanders recently visiting Nice were the Misses Whelan, Miss Marion Kirker, Mr. Henry ComMr. and Mrs. Russell, Mrs. Kirker and foot, Mrs. Wallace, Mr. Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Mcßeth.
It is nicer and more economical to use two parts oatmeal and one part wheatmeal for porridge.
