HARBOUR BOARD
MR. BLOODWORTH HEADS POLL ONE NEW MEMBER An .interesting point about the Harbour Board election was that Mr. T. Bloodworth headed the poll and in doing so was given 3,721 more votes than he was in the mayoralty, which clearly shows Auckland’s different attitudes and indicates how Mr. Bloodworth would have fared in the City Council election. Mr. G. R. Hutchinson, a member of the board some years ago, was second on the poll, with a heavy poll, and replaced Mr. W. H. Murray, who unsuccessfully sought re-election. The detailed results were as follows, asterisks denoting sitting members: — SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES Votes. *T. Bloodworth, L 10,887 G. R. Hutchinson, PC, PPA 10,126 •E. W. Inder, PC, PPA.. .. 8.846 •J.
