The leading lady player in Auckland at present is Miss E. Culling, who has been getting more and more on to her game, and has now established a new record for the ladies’ course at Middlemore. Miss Payton previously held the record with a 77, which Miss Culling equalled a week or two ago. Miss Culling has now produced the following card: Out—s, 5,5, 5,5, 4, 3,3, 5—40; in— 3,4, 4,4, 4,4, 5,5, 3—36; total 76, to set a new standard for the course. Incidentally she holed out a mashie approach for a three at the eighteenth to accomplish it.
