NEW POST OFFICE OPENED AT MARTON

(From Our Own Correspondent.) MARTON, To-day. The new up-to-date post office was officially opened at Marton to-day by the Postmaster-General, the Hon. \V. Nosworthy. There was a large attendance, including local body representatives from a wide area The Minister traced in detail the history of post and telegraph work in the district. and concluded by stating:—"The new post office building, which 1 am onening to-day. is the third which has been erected at Marton, and although I hope that the town will progress to such an extent that in the years to come the building will have to be extended. I think that the accommodation which has now been provided will meet requirements for a very long time. It is the newest and most up-to-date post office building in the Dominlion.”
