ANZAC DAY BROADCAST

AUCKLAND STATION’S SUCCESS The Auckland station IYA successfully broadcast a running commentary of the parades and the procession, and the addresses in connection with the Anzac Day services. The microphone and other apparatus related to the transmitting set was placed on a stand at the eastern end oC the town hall. The description of the procession was taken in hand by Mr. Prentice and assistants and a radio engineer was also in attendance. For the crowds unable to gain admittance to the hall a receiving set with a loop aerial was installed and the addresses, etc., put on a loud speaker. ___________
