ELDERLY MAN’S FATE FALL IN QUARRY (From Our Own Correspondent.) THAMES, To-day. William Henry Gilbert Cryer, aged 55 years, a farmer of Wharepoa, Thames Valley, while obtaining gravel from an old quarry, was crushed by a fall of earth and stones, being buried to the waist. His two sons extricated him, but owing to the severity of his wounds it is evident that he died quickly after the fall. The coroner’s verdict was one of accidental death.
