TIN INGOTS STOLEN
TWO MEN CHARGED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL Two men and a motor-car played an important part in the theft from Alexander Harvey and Sons’ premises in Parnell on February 24 last, of a quantity of tin ingots. The car was seen to draw up near the premises and a man entered the building and returned later with a sack containing the tin. It was emptied into the car and the two men drove off. It was in this connection that Arthur Frederick Griffen (Mr. S. Clarke) appeared before justices of the peace in the police Court this morning charged with the theft of five ingots of tin valued at £lO 10s, the property of Alexander Plarvey and Sons. After evidence the accused pleaded not gu,ilty, reserved his defence and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
