MANY DWELLINGS SUFFER Press Association DUNEDIN, To-day. A north-west gale of exceptional force swept the city and suburbs on Sunday evening, and many dwellings suffered. Sheets of iron were torn loose and fences blown down. At the Upper Junction near Mount Cargill, the front portion of the roof of a building, measuring 45ft. by 25ft., was torn adrift, and sheets of iron were hurled through the air in all directions, some being carried 300 yards. At Anderson’s Bay 50 feet of the front portion of the Infant-school roof was torn from the rafters.
