THE HOCKEY SEASON
OPENING ON SATURDAY The final practice games of teams to compete in this season’s hockey competitions drew some spirited contests at the Remuera grounds last Saturday, showing that the form of players is particularly high for so early in the season. The competitions will begin on Saturday next, when some keen contests are assured. All last season’s senior teams, with the exception of Stanley, will again play. University proposes to enter two teams and Epiphany is desirous of entering the senior ranks.
