The completion of the newly, opened section permits the Coroman' del range to be crossed by rail. far as Waihi the track has been open for many years, and travellers will now be able to enjoy rugged scenery which near Tahawai is blended with picturesque seascapes, from Poorer to the railhead. In the section on which Armstrong Whitworth, Ltd., are working great difficulty has been experienced, and mudflats, traversed where the line skirts the hills near the sea, hav» allowed the foundations of the. track to subside, and the contractors, in consequence, are behind their time.
