MOTORIST FOR TRIAL
DEATH OF A GIRL THE NELSON FATALITY Press Association NELSON, To-day. The adjourned inquest on Yolande Murphy, aged 19, the married woman who died as the result of injuries received from being down by a motor-car near Motueka, ended to-day. The car was driven by Edward Carl Smith. A verdict was returned that death was due to negligent driving. Smith was subsequently charged under the Motor Vehicles Act with negligent driving, and was committed for trial. Bail was allowed.
