He’s done ten years,” said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., ; this morning, when Thomas Andrew j Hannah came before him again after a week’s remand on a charge of having insufficient lawful means of support. “There’s no vice in the man,” Mr. Campbell, the probation officer, told him. “He’s been on probation for some time, but it is difficult to kno .* what to do with him. He’s a mental case, nearly bad enough to be committed. He’s a good worker, but he frightens people when he goes on a farm.” Gaol appeared to be the only place l'or Hannah, who was consequently sent to Mount iSden for a month.
