UNRULY HORSES

Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. A meeting of the board of the New Zealand Trotting Association was held last night. Mr. A. G. Mabee, stipendiary steward, reported that after the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting he reported the horse Billy Sea for fractiousness at the post, and he recommended that future nominations of the horse be refused. He had since had Billy Sea under observation at six other meetings outside ‘Auckland, and he had left the mark on each occasion. He now wished to know whether the ban should be lifted. After some discussion on the question of unruly horses, Mr. Mark gave notice of motion that the rule relating to such horses be amended so that it would be brought into line with the .racing rule on the same subject. This means that all horses barred by one club will not be allowed to compete at any meeting for a definite period. The deaths of the following horses were reported:—Chaucer, Grey Peter, Logandale, Murmurs, Jewel, Melva Dillon, Red Heather and Tenerall.
