ANGLO-PERSIAN CO. INTERESTED AMALGAMATION MOOTED Press Association. GISBORNE, To-day. Mr. Wyllie, the expert retained by the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, who lias been making a comprehensive survey of this district fer several months, has completed h*# investigations and has left for L^s^gg. It is understood that is a probability of the Anglo-Persian Company amalgamating with the Taranaki Oilfields, Ltd., contingent on Mr. Wyllie’s report satisfying the company that the prospects of oil being discovered in New Zealand are sufficiently promising to warrant it.
