ONEHUNGA JUBILEE

NEIGHBOURLY CONGRATULATION At last night’s meeting of the Mt. Roskill Road Board Mr. S. Lamont formally proposed a vote of congratulation to the borough of Onehunga upon the attainment of its jubilee year of existence. Mr. J. R. Robertson: “Being our next-door neighbours, I suppose it is only right and courteous to do so; therefore, I’ll second the motion.’’ The vote was carried without further comment beyond one member dryly remarking: “Oh, yes. But tonight’s SUN has already given them some congratulations to go on with.**
