NEWS OF THE MINES

New Waiotahi. —The drive hillward on the Waiotahi-Cambria reef has been advanced Bft for the week. The drive is following the break, taking a portion of the footwall country on the right-hand side. From the bottom of the winze on the footwall leader it has been extended 4ft hillward on the main reef toward the run of country, making the gold in the leader 10 or 12ft ahead. No reef has been taken down for the week.
