Harold Beauchamp arrived from Sydney yesterday by the Ulimaroa. He left for Wellington last evening.
Mr. C. K. Myers, secretary of the Seventh Day Adventist Mission Board, Washington, and formerly of Auckland, arrived from Sydney yesterday by the Ulimaroa.
Dr. H. Belshaw, who has been appointed to the newly-created separate chair of economics at Auckland University College, arrived from England yesterday by way of Australia. He will take up his new duties shortly.
Mr. N. S. Fallas, general traffic manager of the Union Steam Ship Company, arrived from Wellington yesterday. He is at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. R. McKegg, of Rarotonga, has returned to Auckland from a tour of the Dominion. He will leave for Wellington at the end of the week to connect with the Makura, which will leave for San Francisco, via the Cook Islands, next Tuesday.
Captain Williams, of the well-known Arm of Williams and Gosling, stevedores in the Pacific Islands, was a passenger on the Tofua, which arrived this morning.
Mr. C. B. F. du Pertuis, of the New Hebrides, arrived in Auckland to-day on the Tofua. He is accompanied by Mrs. du Pertuis. and will probably reside in Auckland in the future.
Advice lias been received that Mr. Raymond Kitchen, of Wanganui, has gained a Fellowship of the College of Physicians at Edinburgh. He is now on his way to New Zealand. Last year Dr. Kitchen spent nine months with an Antarctic expedition.
Lieutenant-Colonel N. S. Falla, C.M.G., D. 5.0., general traffic manager of the Union Company, and Mrs. Falla and boy arrived in Auckland yesterday from Wellington.
