OPOTIKI COLLISION

MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED

IN DANGEROUS CONDITION (From Our Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, To-day. A motor accident occurred at Opotiki yesterday at the junction of Ford and Nelson Streets. A motor cyclist, named Denis Pearse, on the staff of Messrs. Dalgety and Co., when rounding a corner, collided with a car driven by a Maori. Pearse was thrown heavily and rendered unconscious. He was removed to the hospital where it was found that he had sustained severe injuries to his head and was in it dangerous condition.

This morning the patient showed slight improvement. The motor-cycle and car were only slightly damaged.
