LAND REVIVAL
GOOD BUSINESS PREDICTED WHEN VALUES STABILISE (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. A rush to the land when prices wer> stabilised and there was. a prospect of obtaining a good living, was predicted to-day by Hamilton land agents. Prospective buyers, it was said, wen 1 ready to advance substa.ntiai sums for investment in farm pri uerty when it was considered the opportunity was favourable. The recent setback to producers had the effect of staying buyers’ hands and the large business of a few months ago in farm properties had now dropped to the ordinary level. That was not a reliable indication of feeling, however, because of the recent depression. Business was expected to brighten again as buyers regained confidence. Prices had now reached a reasonable level and fair business was being done. Good, small, dairy farms were payable propositions and changing hands readily. There was an excellent demand for leasehold properties, but few were offering. A block, 912 acres, of rich Tuhikaramea land was being subdivided and holdings were being inquired after.
