DATE WAFFLES
Whip well the yolks of two eggs till they are very light and frothy. Then gently add and beat in well till creamy 1 tablespoonful each of melted fresh butter, or first quality margarine, and sugar, and half a teaspoonful of salt; then 1 h breakfastcupfuls of flour, 1 tablespoonful of baking powder, stirred into 1 pint of milk, 2 teacupsful of stoned and chopped dates, and the whites of the eggs stiffly whipped. Bake in a fairly hot oven and serve with syrup.
