LABOUR CONFERENCES

During Easter two Labour conferences that have aroused great interest will be held at Napier, one being the Women’s Conference, the first of its kind in the Dominion, and the other is the general conference commencing on Easter Monday. Mesdames L. C. Rowlatt and B. Cassidy left for Napier last night for the Women’s conference, the former to represent the Auckland Women’s branch and the latter the Auckland West branch. Mrs. Rowlatt will also be present at the general conference as the Auckland women’s deelgate. Such maters of importance as organisation, education, compensation for injury, pensions, peace and internationalism and immigration will be dealt with at the conference.
