FORMATION OF NEW CLUB

A scheme that is meeting with good support is the formation by the Defence Department of a club for noncommissioned officers of Auckland territorial units. The use of the clubroom is offered regimental officers on Monday. Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings for the purpose of lectured. A syllabus of lectures lias been arranged. the first being “India,” to be given on April 21 by Colonel 11. R. Potter. 0.C., Northern Command. An appeal is to be made to units to firing the objects of the club under the notice of n.0.0.'5. with a view to membership. in addition to lectures, which will be attended in mufti, it is proposed to hold an annual ball. This year that will be held on July 28. A «moke concert will be held on September I.
