Another young woman, Mabel Jackson. aged 26, came up on the same charge. “The report I’ve had is that she is a good cook, and a good worker, but she won’t work. She gets a few' drinks, and gets out on the loose,” said the senior- sergea n t. Well, she won’t get on the loose for a week.” was Mr. Hunt’s comment as he remanded the girl till next Thursday for sentence.
