MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL RIDING IMPROVEMENTS \ At the monthly meeting of the Manukau County Council yesterday a letter was received from the Public Works Department notifying that grants had been paid into the council’s account as follows: Clevedon-Miranda Road (ClevedonKawakawa section), £100; ClevedonTakanini Road, second progress payment, £229 6s; Alfriston-Ardmore Government grant, £150; Waikopua Creek-Maraetai, second progress payment, £9O; on account of Main Highways Board, Great South Road maintenance, £9l 15s 6d, of which Papakura Riding is to be credited with £26 16s 3d and Papatoetoe Riding £64 19s 3<L
