“GREATEST BLESSING”
WIRELESS TO THE BLIND JUBILEE TRUSTEES MEET “The greatest blessing of modern times to the blind,” was how wireless was described at the meeting of the board of trustees of the Jubilee Institute yesterday afternoon. The suggestion that the institute might make special terms for the supply of receiving sets to the blind of the Dominion, under the provisions of the Sir Arthur Pearson Memorial Fund, was discussed, and it was decided to inquire further into the matter. St. Dunstan’s lias supplied every Minded soldier in the British Isles and Panada with a set free of charge, it was said. A decision on the question of changing the name of the institute to * The New Zealand Institute for the Blind” was deferred until a later meeting. The Minister of Customs has intimated that instruments for the institute band would be admitted dutyfree.
