NEW HIGH SCHOOL

COMMENCED AT ROTORUA FOUNDATION STONE LAID (From Our Own Com'espondent.) ROTORUA, Wednesday. The Hon. R. A. Wright laid the foundation stone of the district high school yesterday afternoon. Speeches were made by Mr. Hockley, M.P., the mayor, Mr. Clinkard, the chairman of the school board and Chief Tekepa Paukatua, of Ohinernutu, for the Arawa tribe. The Minister referred to the generous bequest of land and funds by the Arawas. An extra day’s holiday was granted the children.
