IMPERIAL LEAGUE RUGBY BOARD
MANCHESTER PROPOSAL By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Monday. The council ol! the Manchester Rugby League at a meeting agreed unanimously to the proposal of a subcommittee for* the formation of an Imperial Rugby League Board. The plan is that the latter should consist of three members to be nominated by the league, one by New Zealand and one by Australia, also that the Yorkshire and Lancashire Unions should cease to function in their present form so as to enable the government of the game in England to be brought directly under the control of the council of the League. A special meeting of the clubs is to be held on April 27 to consider the adoption of this scheme. —A. and N.Z.
