HAMILTON, To-day. “You have been wayward all your life and when given an opportunity to make good you did not take advantage of it,” stated Mr. Wyvern Wilson. S.M., to-day in imposing a sentence of two years’ detention in the Invercargill Borstal Institute on Leslie Charles Burke, aged 20. Accused was charged in the Police Court with stealing a Chevrolet car from Wellington and driving it to Hamilton. On a charge of the theft of a portmanteau containing’ travellers’ samples h« was convicted and discharged.
