SUICIDE AT KAMO

RESULT OF DEPRESSION LIFE ENDED WITH REVOLVER (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHANG ARE I, Monday. At the inquest concerning the death of George Welsby, who was found shot dead in his home at Kamo on Saturday, the coroner found that deceased had died through a bullet wound self-inflicted while in a state of mental depression. In the course of her evidence Mrs. Welsby said that her husband had arranged to meet her in town at 11 a.m., but as he did not keep the appointment she returned home and found him lying face downwards on the floor. He had never given any indication of intention-to take his life, but had been in a depressed state lately owing to ill-health. Police evidence showed that death was caused by a bullet shot in the mouth from a .22 revolver.
