PONSONBY BAPTIST CHURCH

SUNDAY-SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday at the Ponsonbv Baptist Church was celebrated the fifty-first anniversary of the establishment of the Sunday school. At the morning service the Rev. A. J. Grigg preached and in the afternoon the Rev. Ernest Goring addressed the scholars of the Sunday school. A feature of the afternoon service was the singing by the children, assisted by the church choir under the baton of Mr. W. J. Williams. In the evening the preacher was the Rev. E. Nicholls. On Wednesday next the annual tea and concert will be held, at which prizes will be distributed.
