NURSE THROWN WHILE OUT RIDING

SUFFERS FRACTURED SKULL (From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, To-day. A serious accident occurred on the Hamilton Road near Cambridge on Saturday afternoon when Miss V. M. Hunter,' resident dental clinic nurse, while out riding, was thrown heavily at a sharp corner and sustained a fracture of the base of the skull. She was conveyed to Whitiora Private Hospital and was conscious on Sunday morning. Her condition is now satisfactory. The dental clinic was only opened about a fortnight ago and it was decided to discontinue the service for a month, when it is expected that the new clinic building will be erected. By that time Nurse Hunter will be able to resume her duties.
