GIRLS’ JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP The girls’ singles championship of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was won vesterday by Miss Grenier o—4, 4—u, t>—4. Tut first set and part of the second had been played a week ago, the score being 6—4 and 3—3 in favour of Miss Newton when rain stopped the play. Yesterday Miss Newton took the first game making the score 4—3, but her opponent settled down and annexed the next three games and the set. In the third set play was even and strenuous.
