THE HOCKEY SEASON
STARTS ON APRIL 30 The hockey season in Auckland will commence on April 30, when a start will be made with the different competitions under the control of the Auckland Hockey Association. An endeavour will be made to play an inter-secondary schools’ competition, excluding third grade teams, on week-days. It is anticipated that this will help to relieve the position brought about by the shortage of grounds on Saturdays.
