EX-SERVICE MEN
COMPULSORY EMPLOYMENT BILL BEFORE COMMONS A Bill has been introduced by exservice members, including Commander Kenworthy, which makes compulsory the employment of disable ex-service men. The Act will be administered by a Labour Ministery committee consisting of employers, employees and exservice men, who will have the right to fix special wages, though standard rates will generally, be observable. An employer failing to comply with the notice to employ ex-service men will be liable to a penalty of £IOO, plus £5 a man each subsequent month. —A. and N.Z.
