A WISE STEF
BROADCASTING FARMERS’ OUTLOOK VISITS TO VARIOUS DISTRICTS (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. In furtherance of the aim to enable the farming community in one district to gain knowledge of the conditions in another, the Railway Department has finalised arrangements to run a special farmers’ excursion train from Hawera to Hamilton for the Waikato Winter Show. The period chosen is particularly suitable as it co-ordinates with very important gatherings of the leaders of the produce and marketing world. The train leaves Hawera on May 31, connecting with another from New Plymouth. The train from the East Coast will connect at Marton Junction and others from AVairarapa and Wellington at the same place. Stops will be made at tlie principal towns on the Main Trunk line. Special excursion tickets, available for 14 days, will be issued, and instructors 'of the Agricultural Department will lecture to farmers on the train, where a special agricultural exhibition will be made.
