LONDON’S NEW TAXI FARES

Sir William Joynson-Hicks, Home Secretary, announced in the House of Commons that an agreement had been reached for a new scale of taxi-cab fares, namely, 6d the first two-thirds of a mile, and 3d for each additional one-third, with 4s Hourly for waitng.—A. and N.Z.
