“HIGH-PRICED OYSTERS"
Mrs. F. Dalton was “idly knocking off a couple of oysters” w r hile waiting on the rocks at Murphy’s Reef for her husband, who was out in a boat, according to her counsel’s statement this morning, when she was charged with a breach of the Fisheries Act. Inspectors, said Mr. F. C. Gould, saw her break off at least a dozen, and from the way she used the instrument they were led to believe she had been at it before. Whether it was two oysters or a dozen, they cost Mrs. Dalton £2 19s by the time the fees and fine had been totalled up.
