CONCERT FROM HOLLAND ON HOME-MADE SET (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. George Anchor, a Hamilton wireless enthusiast, picked up P.P.J.J station at Phillip’s Lamp Works, Eindoven, Holland, in the early hours this morning and heard a number of orchestral, piano and violin selections, and the announcements in Dutch. He was operating a two-valve, home-made set. A PALMERSTON LISTENER Press Association PALMERSTON NORTH, To-day. Mr. W. A. Waters, a local ra.dio enthusiast, this morning at 7.15 picked up a radio transmission from the electric lamp works at Eindhoven, Holland, for two hours. He heard a musical programme at one o’clock. The transmission was still audible, but not with the same volume as the previous reception. The broadcasting station, P.C.J.J., operated by the Phillips Glow Lamp Works, Eindhoven, Holland, gives a special broadcast transmission to-day (Friday) and to-morrow (Saturday). The time of transmission to-day was 2.54 a.m. and to-morrow will be 5.54 a.m. These are New Zealand times. The wave-length is 30.2 metres.
