CHRISTIAN CONVENTION

SUCCESSFUL YEAR A particularly successful year was reported at the annual meeting of the United Christian Convention held at the Y.M.C.A. last evening. The Rev. R. Harries presided. Two scries of successful meetings had been held in Auckland during tthe year. The Christmas Convention at Cambridge had been particularly suecessl'ul and that centre had been made the headquarters of the organisation. The membership had reached 130 and there was a credit balance of £ls. Officers were elected as follows: Chairman, the Rev. R. Harries; vicechairmen, the Rev. E. X. Goring, the Rev. F. B. Barton and Mr. A. D. Nicholson: secretary, Mr. C. H. Taylor* treasurer, Mr. J. Bambury: registrar Mr. B. C. Hercus. The Rev. James Hay, of Cambridge, was appointed convener of the Cambridge committee.
